Being a medical student is hard work in itself, but we are also required to spend a lot of time trying to figure out medical specialty to pursue. So you can imagine my excitement as I came over this very helpful “tool” in choosing a specialty.
If you still have´t figured out what to do with your life, try the Medical Specialty Aptitude Test it´s a bit more complicated and time consuming, but keep in mind that this is a very important decision!
So what were my results? I guess I´ll have to choose between a career in emergency medicine or oncology..

Yes, that does more or less sum it up. I’ve printed it to help me guide the medical students. Only one complaint: it doesn’t include Obstetrics, which I would be inclined to list under Crazy/Attention Span: Intermittent.
Gotta get some sleep!
I think there should be another inclusion to add naturopaths, list under hard work – not so much – natural light.
ha ha! that is hilarious! good show!
oh no!!!!!!!! poooooooooooor med students!!!!!!!
Out of the five med students in this room, four out of five agree, this is accurate! The other wants neonatology.
cool..may i copy the pic ok?
Why isn’t Oncology on there? I’d put it under Not So Much/Afraid of the young un’s.
This is great! I disagree about the OB/GYN comment, however. I would make them “Sane–>Hardworking–>Mean”. Then, to distinguish them from surgeons, you could have “Has testicles” for surgeons and “Has ovaries” for OB/GYN.
As for Neurologists, I think they could be “Crazy–>Significant Attention Span”. Then, to distinguish them from Psychiatrists, you could have “All heart, no brain” for psych and “All brain, no heart” for neuro (I say this as someone who’s going into psych, by the way).
How about a mad scientist? i think that is fitting.
