1,3 billion people go trough their life with worms in their small intestine. The worm typically infects you when you eat food (typically pork) containing worm eggs. From your stomach the larva is released, and travels via your blood to the lung tissue.
Being a medical student is hard work in itself, but we are also required to spend a lot of time trying to figure out medical specialty to pursue. So you can imagine my excitement as I came over this very helpful “tool” in choosing a specialty.
